Chancellor Emeritus William H. Danforth speaks on “The Past, Present and Future of Biomedical Research” at the Advanced Research Institute on Geriatric Mental Health at the School of Medicine. The National Institute of Health-funded institute hosted this year at WUSTL by Yvette Sheline, M.D., professor of psychiatry and director of the Center for Depression and Neuroimaging, focuses on the career development of junior faculty and is made up of a consortium of top U.S. universities, including WUSTL, Duke University, Cornell University, University of Pennsylvania, University of California, Los Angeles, University of Rochester and the University of Pittsburgh.
