The Farrell Learning and Teaching Center will celebrate its grand opening Sept. 16 with a medical education symposium and open house for students, faculty and staff. The state-of-the-art facility is located on Euclid Avenue in the heart of the Medical Campus and will be the School of Medicine’s primary teaching venue, serving medical and graduate students. The grand-opening events will begin at 8:30 a.m. with introductory remarks by Larry J. Shapiro, M.D., executive vice chancellor for medical affairs and dean of the medical school. The open house in the building’s atrium, featuring refreshments, music and self-guided tours, will be held from 12:30-3 p.m. Please see related story for a full schedule of events.
