Tthrough her books and television appearances, Coulter has become one of the most popular and best-known defenders of the American conservative philosophy. All three of her books have enjoyed long stays on The New York Times bestseller list.

The first, High Crimes and Misdemeanors: The Case Against Bill Clinton, published in 1998, was widely praised by prominent conservatives including George Will and Robert Bork, and widely used by editorial writers during the Clinton impeachment trial.

In Slander: Liberal Lies about the American Right, published in 2002, Coulter provides examples of media abuse, liberal manipulation and Democratic conspiracies against Republicans.

In 2003 she published Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism, which contends that liberals have stood with the enemies of American interests in every major crisis during the last 60 years of its history.

A major broadcast media figure, Coulter has been featured on a variety of network and cable programs, including ABC’s “This Week,” NBC’s “Today Show,” and CNN’s “Larry King Live,” “Hannity and Colmes” and “The O’Reilly Factor.” In addition, she writes a column for UniversalPress Syndicate and is the legal correspondent for Human Events magazine.

A graduate of Cornell University and the University of Michigan Law School, Coulter has worked as an attorney for the Center for Individual Rights, a conservative public-interest law firm dedicated to the defense of individual rights with particular emphasis on freedom of speech, civil rights and the free exercise of religion. In addition, she has served as legal counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee, where she worked with then Senator Spencer Abraham. She also has practiced corporate law and has clerked for the Honorable Pasco Bowman II of the Eighth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.
