Vincent Sherry installed as first Howard Nemerov Professor in the Humanities
Vincent Sherry, PhD, chair and professor of English in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, was installed as the first Howard Nemerov Professor in the Humanities in Arts & Sciences during a Jan. 24 ceremony in Holmes Lounge, Ridgley Hall. Sherry delivered a talk in which he recognized the literary great for whom the professorship is named.

James T. Little, Ph.D., became the first recipient of the Donald Danforth, Jr. Distinguished Professorship in Business in a ceremony at the Charles F. Knight Center. In honor of Ibby Danforth, WSWU receives major gift
The Women’s Society of Washington University received a major boost for its scholarship fund with a $100,000 gift from the Danforth Foundation, in honor of Elizabeth (Ibby) Danforth. The scholarship provides full tuition for transfer students from the St. Louis community college system.
