Garnett receives CAREER Award to develop new active machine learning algorithms

Roman Garnett, at the McKelvey School of Engineering, will build new algorithms for a method known as active machine learning that will accelerate extracting knowledge from big data with a five-year, $497,693 CAREER award from the National Science Foundation.

A deeply kind, calming and dedicated leader, Mullen was beloved by her colleagues. She was 57.

Obituary: Andrew B. Craig, emeritus trustee, 88

Andrew B. Craig III, emeritus trustee of Washington University in St. Louis, died May 24, 2019, in Naples, Fla., where he lived. He was 88. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. June 10 at Ladue Chapel in St. Louis.
