University launches new website

A new Washington University in St. Louis website was launched Monday, Aug. 9, following three months of concerted effort and interviews with numerous faculty, staff and student experts on all campuses of the university.

MBA students trade classroom for boardroom

Olin MBA students are taking their classroom skills to the boardroom. Nine MBAs have been selected to serve on the boards of social service agencies supported by the United Way of Greater St. Louis. Students will get real-world experience while helping the community they live in.

Colitis patients diagnosed later in life tend to have better disease outcomes

Adults diagnosed with ulcerative colitis after age 50 are more likely to achieve remission from their symptoms than patients diagnosed at younger ages, even when those patients receive similar treatments, according to research at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. The study is the first to look at patients whose colitis was treated with modern medications. Nearly 1 million U.S. adults have ulcerative colitis.
