Jessica Newman, JD ’11, was appointed to the Ferndale School Board. She has a passion for education and dedication to students.

Morgan Murphy, JD ’11, managing partner at Zevan Murphy, was elected president of the Saint Louis Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. Murphy has served on the bar foundation board since 2023.

Jessie Atkin, AB ’11, wrote her first board book. A silly, tongue-twisting counting book, Oodles of Noodles (Little Bee Books, July 2026) features food-filled animal adventures. Each animal is paired with a favorite food and a playful unit of measurement.

Perry Morocco, AB ’11, and his wife, Lisa Fan Morocco, welcomed their second child, Jack Fan Morocco (named after Perry’s maternal grandfather). Baby Jack joins big brother Paul. The family resides in Chicago, where Perry is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Chicago.

Ashley Hoolihan, MArch ’11, MCM ’11, joined the ownership group of Trivers, a St. Louis-based architecture, planning, urban design and interiors firm. She leads the education practice and has worked on projects at WashU, the University of Missouri system, Missouri State University and the University of Illinois, among others.

Monica Smith, AB ’11, joined the firm Axinn, Veltrop & Harkrider LLP as counsel in the antitrust practice group in the Washington, D.C., office. Smith guides U.S. and foreign companies in gaining clearances for complex multibillion-dollar deals, often involving international investigations and second requests by the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice.

Hwan Yi, MSW ’11, was named executive director of Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads, a senior living community located in the metropolitan area surrounding Washington, D.C. He most recently served as the health-care center administrator for The Fairfax at Belvoir Woods, a senior continuing-care retirement community located in Virginia.

Karan Johar, Res/Fel ’11, specializes in pain management and minimally invasive spine care. He draws on experiences from his grandmother’s surgery that shape his patient-centric approach as a physician, on his tenure as assistant professor at NYU Langone, and on his roles across prestigious hospitals and dual board certifications.
