Alexis (Bergman) Wintrob, LA04, tapped into her work in perfumery and forecasting global beauty and fragrance trends at Procter & Gamble to write and self-publish a children’s book, Za Za’s Scent-Sational Super Power (2020). She operates ADB Consulting, a strategy, trends and fragrance consultancy.
Abigail Dumes
Abigail Dumes, LA04, authored Divided Bodies: Lyme Disease, Contested Illness, and Evidence-Based Medicine (Duke University Press, 2020 ). The book explores the Lyme disease controversy, shedding light on the relationship between contested illness and evidence-based medicine in the United States. Dumes is assistant professor of women’s and gender studies at the University of Michigan.
Deia Schlosberg
Deia Schlosberg, LA03, FA03, is film director/producer for Pale Blue Dot Media, a New York City–based film and media production company. She was the director, producer and cinematographer for The Story of Plastic, which aired on the Discovery Channel in April 2020.
Avital Livny,
Avital Livny, LA02, penned Trust and the Islamic Advantage: Religious-Based Movements in Turkey and the Muslim World (Cambridge University Press, 2020), which is based on her dissertation research. She writes that she can see a clear thread from her course work at WashU to her research and teaching today. Livny is an assistant professor of political science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Franci Fealk
Franci Fealk, LA02, and her husband, Michael Skolnick, welcomed a daughter, Molly Samantha, on Dec. 21, 2020. The family resides in Indianapolis. Fealk’s grandmother, Louise Fealk, LA70, and her aunts, Michelle Fealk, LA06, and Susan Skolnick, LA88, are also Washington University alumnae.

Andrew (“Drew”) Hinkes
Andrew (“Drew”) Hinkes, LA00, co-authored the textbook Digital Assets and Blockchain Technology: US Law and Regulation (Edward Elgar Pub, 2020). The book examines the key legal and regulatory issues associated with the transformative field of digital assets and blockchain technology. Hinkes is an attorney with Carlton Fields in Miami.
