Hillary A. Sale, JD, the Walter D. The university will pause Friday, Sept. 11, to remember the lives lost in the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. The university and U.S. flags will be lowered to half-staff, and the chimes in Graham Chapel will toll at 9:28 a.m., the time the World Trade Center’s North Tower collapsed.

Timothy Blair Burnight, 28, a doctoral candidate in the Program in Physical Therapy at Washington University School of Medicine, died unexpectedly Sept. 4, 2015, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

Washington University in St. Louis will test its emergency communication system, WUSTLAlerts, at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16. The test will take place unless there is the potential for severe weather that day or some other emergency is occurring at that time.
