At the 2018 Global Spine Congress meeting held in Singapore in May, Munish Gupta, MD, and co-authors from the Fox Pediatric Spinal Deformity Study (including Washington University Orthopedics’ Michael P. Kelly, MD, and research coordinator Brenda Sides) received an award for best e-poster. 

Sandor Kovacs, MD, PhD, professor of medicine at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, recently received an honorary degree from Lund University in Sweden.

Five faculty members at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis recently were elected to the Society for Pediatric Research, which aims to improve child health through research, professional collaboration and advocacy. The 2018 James Harrison Steedman Fellowship in Architecture asks how infrastructure shapes our individual and collective environments. The biennial research competition for early-career architects is organized by the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis, in concert with AIA St. Louis. Registration opens Aug. 15 and proposals are due Nov 1.
