Hultgren to study allergy and infectious diseases

Scott J. Hultgren, the Helen L Stoever Professor of molecular microbiology at the School of Medicine, received a five-year $2.4 million grant from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Nominations open for Ethic of Service Award

Nominations are being accepted for the 2022 Gerry and Bob Virgil Ethic of Service Award, which recognizes members of the university community who exemplify service and engagement with the St. Louis region. The nomination deadline is Nov. 7.

Grants available for students’ capstone projects

The Beyond Boundaries program invites WashU juniors and seniors to apply to Creative Collaborations, which provides grants of up to $1,000 to students who work together to produce a creative capstone project such as a book, social enterprise or fashion line.

Cruz receives NIH fellowship award

Matthew A. Cruz, a predoctoral scholar in biochemistry and molecular biophysics and in the laboratory of Gregory Bowman at the School of Medicine, received a three-year $95,910 fellowship award from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
