John W. Bachmann, an emeritus trustee of Washington University in St. Louis, died Oct. 16, 2019, of a cerebral hemorrhage in Charleston, S.C., surrounded by family. He was 80.

Norman Schofield, the William Taussig Professor of Political Economy in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, in St. Louis, surrounded by family. He was 75.

A memorial service is planned Nov. 18 at Washington University in St. Louis for Harold L. Levin, professor emeritus of earth and planetary sciences in Arts & Sciences, who died July 16, 2019, in St. Louis. He was 90.

Fredric Raines, associate professor emeritus of economics in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, in St. Louis. He was 86.

Keshav Sanghani, a rising sophomore in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, died June 30, 2019. He was 19. Sanghani, of Willowbrook, Ill., was an accomplished student who was interested in math, economics and languages.

Peter P. Gaspar, professor emeritus of chemistry in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, died Saturday, July 27, 2019, in St. Louis, following a long illness. He was 84.

Merton C. Bernstein, the Walter D. Coles Professor of Law Emeritus at Washington University in St. Louis, died at his home in Brewster, Mass., on Aug. 3, 2019. He was 96.

Dylan Wallace, a 2019 graduate who studied environmental earth science and anthropology in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, died in an accidental drowning in his hometown of Chicago on Friday, June 28, 2019. He was 22.

George J. Broze Jr., MD, a well-known leader in the field of hematology and a professor of medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, died of a heart attack June 19, 2019, at his home in St. Louis County. He was 72.

Kelley Ann Mullen, senior director of scheduling services and service quality for Washington University School of Medicine’s faculty practice, died at her home Tuesday, May 21, 2019, after a brief illness. A deeply kind, calming and dedicated leader, Mullen was beloved by her colleagues. She was 57.
