Bonni elected to Canada’s premier academic society

Azad Bonni, MD, PhD, the Edison Professor and head of the Department of Neuroscience at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, has been elected to the life sciences division of the Academy of Science of the Royal Society of Canada.

McLeod Writing Prize winners announced

This year’s winners of the Dean James E. McLeod Freshman Writing Prize have been recognized. They are are Gabriella Ruskay-Kidd and Ella-Marie West, and Luka Cai Minglu received an honorable mention. The prize awards students in Arts & Sciences who engage in research that explores an aspect of race, gender or identity.

Farrokh Dehdashti, MD, Robert C. McKinstry, MD, PhD, and Pamela Woodard, MD, have been named division directors at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

University Libraries to collaborate on 3-D research project

University Libraries is part of a collaborative project with colleagues at the University of Iowa and the University of Michigan to work toward “Community Standards for 3D Data Preservation.” The group received a leadership grant award of nearly $100,000 from the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the project.

Stahl honored by research society

Philip D. Stahl, the Edward Mallinckrodt Jr. Professor Emeritus of Cell Biology and Physiology and former director of the Division of Biology & Biomedical Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, has received a Special Achievement Award from the International Society for Extracellular Vesicles.
