The St. Louis premiere of “The Surrounding Game” will be Monday, Feb. 26, at the Landmark Tivoli Theatre on the Delmar Loop. The award-winning documentary film was directed and produced by Cole Pruitt, a PhD candidate in chemistry in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis.
Sam Fox School announces 2018 Stone & DeGuire Contemporary Art Awards
Multimedia artist Ebony G. Patterson and sculptor Jill Downen have won the 2018 Stone & DeGuire Contemporary Art Awards. The awards are presented by the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis. Artists receive $25,000 to advance their studio practices.

Lee recognized for her work on behalf of first-year students
Jessie Lee, a member of the First Year Center executive board, is one of five students nationwide to win the Jordan Smith Undergraduate Fellowship from the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience & Students in Transition at the University of South Carolina.
