Haussler wins Harrison D. Stalker Award
Emily Haussler has been awarded the 2018 Harrison D. Stalker Award from the Department of Biology in Arts & Sciences. The award is given annually to a graduating biology major whose undergraduate career combines outstanding scientific scholarship with significant contributions in the arts and humanities.

Goodwin to lead national group of cancer center communicators, marketers
Jim Goodwin, associate director of strategic communication at Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, has been named chair of the Public Affairs & Marketing Network, a group of communications and marketing professionals at 70 U.S. cancer centers.
Shaker wins Spector Prize
Each year, the Department of Biology in Arts & Sciences awards a prize to a graduating senior in memory of Marion Smith Spector, a 1938 graduate who studied zoology under the late Viktor Hamburger. This year’s recipient is Jordan Shaker, who worked in the laboratory of Michael R. Bruchas at the School of Medicine.
Tuch appointed to FINRA’s National Adjudicatory Council
Andrew F. Tuch, professor of law at the School of Law, has been appointed to a four-year term on the National Adjudicatory Council of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
