Regional emergency response exercise planned for April 26

The St. Louis Area Regional Response System (STARRS) will conduct a full-scale emergency exercise on Tuesday, April 26 in various locations throughout the St. Louis region, including Washington University’s South Campus, located at 6501 Clayton Road.

Skinker/Delmar intersection closure to begin Monday

As work on the Loop Trolley project continues, drivers near the North Campus and Danforth Campus, take note: The intersection of Skinker and Delmar boulevards will be closed beginning Monday, April 25, for 12 days. Crews will be installing tracks, and detours will be necessary.

Retirement savings plan info sessions next week

The Office of Human Resources will offer information sessions next week for employees who want to learn more about changes to simplify administration of the university’s retirement savings plan. TIAA will lead the sessions Monday and Tuesday, April 18-19, and the information will be posted online later.

Register now for kids’ summer sports camps

The Athletics Department reminds the university community that it offers a variety of sports camps for children during the summer. There are programs for kids from 6 years old through high school, and from one-day to weeklong sessions.

School of Law adds to clinic offerings

The School of Law is expanding its Clinical Education Program with the addition of a Guardian ad Litem Clinic and an Urban Revitalization Practicum beginning in fall 2016. The new offerings bring to 19 the clinical opportunities for law students to provide free legal services to the community while learning professional skills.

Award-winning Mosaic Whispers to perform this weekend

Student a cappella group Mosaic Whispers will perform two concerts on the Washington University in St. Louis campus this weekend. The group just won the Midwest semifinals of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) and later this month will compete at the ICCA Finals in New York.

PB&Joy food drive starts April 7

PB&Joy, the annual universitywide food drive, begins April 7 and runs until April 19. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to contribute nonperishable foods or to make a financial donation to Operation Food Search. Kid-friendly items such as graham crackers, apple sauce or macaroni and cheese fill a great need.
