New services are opening in the McDonnell Pediatric Research Building and the Mid Campus Center on the Medical Campus, including a cafe, Farmstead, and a campus store.

The university is hosting several town hall meetings in the coming week, beginning Thursday, April 6, so people can learn more about the new parking strategy, including permit pricing and lottery details.

Student Parent Awareness Week, a week full of activities on campus for graduate students and their children, is planned April 10-14, beginning with “Bring Your Child to Campus Day” Monday.

This year’s Relay for Life event will take place starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Francis Field. The 12-hour event raises funds for the American Cancer Society and its work toward cancer prevention and treatment.

The next universitywide blood drive will be held Wednesday, April 5, at seven locations throughout the campuses. All faculty, staff and students are encouraged to participate.

The School of Engineering & Applied Science at Washington University in St. Louis is offering a new master’s degree that will use engineering principles to dramatically improve health-care operations.

A drive to collect old electronics, from kitchen appliances to laptops, will be held from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, outside Knight and Bauer halls. The Office of Sustainability and the Knight Center are sponsoring the event, where the campus community also can bring unwanted confidential papers for shredding.

The Kemper Art Museum is accepting proposals for the spring 2018 Teaching Gallery. The gallery is an exhibit space dedicated to exhibiting works from the museum with ties to university curricula. Proposals are due by May 12.

The Program in Audiology and Communication Sciences at the School of Medicine will hold a public meeting March 30 as part of its re-accreditation site visit by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
