The Kemper Art Museum is temporarily closed for installation and building maintenance. The museum will reopen Monday, Aug. 21.

A commuter resource fair, complete with bike tuneups, will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, on the north side of the Danforth University Center.

Faculty and staff are invited to take part in this year’s Common Reading Program. First-year students are reading “Frankenstein,” by Mary Shelley. Faculty and staff may register to download the book and take part in staff discussions, starting in mid-August.

The university’s Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Community is now accepting applications for its 2017-18 cohort. The SEIC will host its 2017 kick-off event Sept 15.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to take part in the Stress Less Challenge during August, a program led by the Office of Human Resources. Take five minutes each day for a relaxing activity.

The Sumers Recreation Center will be closed Monday, July 31, through Friday, Aug. 4, for floor refinishing, cleaning and maintenance. The center will reopen Saturday, Aug. 5.

KL2 Career Development Awards offer multidisciplinary training in research for future clinical investigators. Applications for a position involving research that addresses the needs of children are being accepted through Sept. 15.

Public Health Cubed is a rapid seed funding mechanism for Institute for Public Health faculty scholars. This cycle seeks projects focused on health equity and community and social disparities. Submit ideas by Aug. 15.

A comprehensive pedestrian and driver safety program is being developed by the Operations and Facilities Management Department at Washington University School of Medicine.

A new IT services organization focused on providing IT infrastructure and services to the university’s research community has launched.
