Free vehicle inspections next week
The Washington University Police Department and Parking & Transportation Services, in partnership with Woodard’s Automotive, again are offering free vehicle inspections to university students, faculty and staff from Dec. 4-7.
Take MetroLink safety survey by Nov. 30
Faculty, staff and students who ride MetroLink are encouraged to share their thoughts about safety on the public transit system. The brief online survey is available through Nov. 30.

2FA required for students Nov. 28
Washington University reminds students that to ensure student and employee security and privacy, students, faculty and staff must use two-factor authentication (2FA) when accessing campus services and systems from off campus. Voluntary WashU 2FA enrollment is open for students and will be required beginning Nov. 28.
Women’s soccer to host NCAA sectional
Washington University in St. Louis has been selected to host the 2018 NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Sectional on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 16 and 17, at Francis Field.
Campus blood drive Nov. 14
The next universitywide blood drive will be held Wednesday, Nov. 14, on the Danforth and Medical campuses. All faculty, staff and students are encouraged to participate.
Volunteers needed for December ceremony
The Commencement Office is seeking volunteers for the December Degree Candidate Recognition Ceremony. The ceremony will be at 10 a.m. Dec. 8 in the Athletic Complex Field House.
Forest Park Parkway bridge reopens
The Forest Park Parkway bridge fully reopened to pedestrian and cyclist traffic Nov. 2. The new bridge provides separate lanes for pedestrians and cyclists.
Share input with University Libraries
University Libraries is working on a new strategic plan and invites input from faculty, staff and students. People are asked to share thoughts about their uses, preferences and needs regarding research and teaching.
Flags lowered to half-staff in memory of Pittsburgh synagogue victims
The U.S. and university flags over Brookings Hall are lowered to half-staff until sunset Wednesday, Oct. 31, as a mark of respect for those killed in the shooting Oct. 27 at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh.
