Washington University is seeking 2,000 university employees or students to volunteer for a study to evaluate the feasibility of large-scale, rapid COVID-19 saliva testing.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum at Washington University in St. Louis will remain closed to the public for the fall 2020 semester. However, in coordination with the universitywide COVID-19 response plan and health and safety guidelines, the museum will be accessible in a limited fashion to Washington University students, faculty and staff.

Washington University’s Climate Change Program (WUCCP), along with the University of Missouri–St. Louis, is co-hosting a series of virtual events to address climate and energy topics affecting the state of Missouri. The first is Aug. 18.

The Brown School has launched a “Foundations of Pandemic Preparedness & Response” program. The five-part, 20-hour program provides a self-paced, online tool kit to help public health and social service professionals respond, mitigate and prevent infectious disease outbreaks, focusing on the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Divided City 2020 initiative will award multiple grants of up to $10,000 to individuals and organizations in the St. Louis metro region engaged in community work or creative practice related to urban segregation. Applications are due Aug. 26. 

The Gephardt Institute reminds the campus community about the upcoming Missouri election Aug. 4. Those who wish to vote absentee or by mail must request a ballot from their local election authority by Wednesday, July 22.
