Forsyth road work Sept. 1-2

The city of Clayton will be resurfacing Forsyth Boulevard between Wrighton Way and Big Bend on Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 1 and 2. Access to Danforth Campus lots and garages will be affected, and the campus circulator and West Campus shuttles won’t operate during the work.

Despite previously announced plans, the university’s Office of Recreation and medical officials have decided the Sumers Recreation Center will remain closed indefinitely due to the pandemic. Preparations continue to ensure the center is ready to reopen when it is safe to do so.

Kemper Art Museum announces fall access plan

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum at Washington University in St. Louis will remain closed to the public for the fall 2020 semester. However, in coordination with the universitywide COVID-19 response plan and health and safety guidelines, the museum will be accessible in a limited fashion to Washington University students, faculty and staff.

Brown School launches pandemic preparedness and response initiative

The Brown School has launched a “Foundations of Pandemic Preparedness & Response” program. The five-part, 20-hour program provides a self-paced, online tool kit to help public health and social service professionals respond, mitigate and prevent infectious disease outbreaks, focusing on the COVID-19 pandemic.
