Update on novel coronavirus

The administration at Washington University is tracking developments with the novel coronavirus first identified in Wuhan, China, and has provided an update to the university community. There are no confirmed cases at the university.

Nominate student for Switzer award

The Women’s Society of Washington University seeks nominations for the Harriet K. Switzer Leadership Award. The nomination deadline is Friday, Feb. 7.

West Campus shuttle returns through permit year

The West Campus shuttle has returned, effective Jan. 27, in response to feedback from the Washington University in St. Louis community, Parking & Transportation Services announced.

Update on novel coronavirus

Cheri LeBlanc, MD, executive director of the Habif Health and Wellness Center, provides an update to the university community about the novel coronavirus first identified in Wuhan, China. While there are no confirmed cases at the university, LeBlanc wants the community to be informed about the virus.

Libraries’ Neureuther essay competition open

Undergraduate and graduate students who love collecting books can submit entries for this year’s Neureuther Student Book Collection Essay Competition. The deadline is March 6, and winners can receive up to $1,000.

Apply for Newman Exploration Travel Fund

Applications are now open for University Libraries’ Newman Exploration Travel Fund (NEXT). Graduate and undergraduate students, along with Danforth Campus faculty and staff members, are invited to apply for a travel grant.

Graduate student reps sought for Board of Trustees

Applications to serve as one of two graduate student representatives to the Board of Trustees for 2020-21 are open. Applications are due Feb. 17. Attend an information session Jan. 15 or Jan. 21 to learn more.

Faculty Achievement Award nominations sought

Nominations are being accepted for Washington University in St. Louis’ annual Faculty Achievement Awards, known as the Arthur Holly Compton Faculty Achievement Award and the Carl and Gerty Cori Faculty Achievement Award. Nominations are due Feb. 14.

LEAP info session Jan. 16

Innovators interested in the Leadership and Entrepreneurial Acceleration Program (LEAP), sponsored by the Skandalaris Center, are invited to an informational session from 5-6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, in Mallinckrodt Center.
