As the winter holidays approach, and the COVID-19 pandemic continues to take a toll on everyday life, Washington University medical experts offer some tips and guidance for the community

The Brown School, the Institute for Public Health’s Center for Dissemination and Implementation and the School of Medicine’s Infectious Disease Division have launched the Infectious Disease Dissemination and Implementation Science (IDDI) Initiative.

Washington University employees can support those in need by donating to the United Way of Greater St. Louis. Those who donate online through Nov. 30 will have a chance to win St. Louis-themed prizes.

Cafe Rosedale will open Monday, Nov. 15, at North Campus, offering breakfast and lunch options.

Olin Library will offer extended hours beginning Monday, Nov. 8, with the building accessible until midnight Sundays-Thursdays; 8 p.m. Fridays and 7 p.m. on Saturdays. Olin Library also will be open 24 hours a day during reading week and final exams, Dec. 10-21.

The Washington University community is invited to watch a livestreamed conversation Nov. 9 between former first lady Michelle Obama and college students including WashU sophomore Natasha Chisholm. 

The McKelvey School of Engineering has launched a new Division of Engineering Education, headed by Jay Turner, to focus on world-class education for students and tools for faculty.

The Washington University Police Department will be accepting public comments as part of its reaccreditation process. Community members may offer comments Monday, Nov. 1, by phone or in a virtual meeting.

Faculty, staff and trainees will have the opportunity to change or re-enroll for 2022 benefits starting Monday, Nov. 1, through Nov. 17. Selections can be made online through the Workday platform.
