Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week events scheduled
The Graduate Center of the Office of the Provost is hosting a series of events through April 12 in celebration of Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week, an annual event sponsored by the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students.
WashU wins College Transit Challenge
WashU faculty, staff and students logged the most trips on MetroLink and Metro buses during the College Transit Challenge among five local colleges and universities March 3-10.
State of the University address
The WashU community is invited to watch online Chancellor Andrew D. Martin’s annual State of the University address at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 23. Martin will update the university’s progress during the past year and focus on three main pillars: academic distinction, student access and our commitment to St. Louis.
WUPD completes training to support people with sensory issues
The Washington University Police Department has completed training through the nonprofit KultureCity to recognize and support people experiencing sensory overload situations during police interactions. WUPD vehicles are now equipped with sensory bags containing noise-canceling headphones, fidget tools and more.
Purchase tickets for WashU nights at soccer, baseball stadiums
The Washington University community is invited to purchase tickets for WashU Night with St. Louis City SC, the area’s new Major League Soccer team, June 3 and WashU Night at the Ballpark Sept. 15.
Nominate staff members for Distinguished Honor awards
Washington University staff members are invited to nominate colleagues for the 2023 Distinguished Honor awards. The nomination deadline is March 24.
Sign up for trademark licensing fair
The university’s Trademark Licensing Program is hosting licensing fairs March 6 and 7. The fairs will help WashU faculty, staff and students learn about resources available through the program and meet with suppliers.
Register for spring wellness challenge
The Office of Human Resources is offering the Worldwide Wellness Challenge, a six-week opportunity to virtually travel the world and build well-being habits, beginning March 6. Registration opens Thursday, Feb. 16.
Parking provides updates
Parking and Transportation Services announced several plans for spring, including a new shuttle provider and tracking app and participation in the College Transit Challenge.
Nominate students for Switzer award
The Women’s Society of Washington University seeks nominations for the Harriet K. Switzer Leadership Award. The nomination deadline is Feb. 10.
