The Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor for Administration is now accepting applications for the fall 2023 Emerging Leaders Program, the Leadership Excellence and Development Program and the Coaching Program.

Washington University has acquired three electric shuttles as part of its Danforth Campus fleet. The shuttles will be on display at the Earth Day Festival in Forest Park April 22-23.

A special task force has formed to examine the climate and culture between faculty mentors and graduate and professional students or postdoctoral fellows on Washington University in St. Louis’ Danforth Campus, Provost Beverly Wendland announced.

St. Louis County and St. Louis city have released a survey to collect feedback on expanding MetroLink. As a member of the St. Louis Anchor Action Network, Washington University leaders encourage the campus community to provide input.

As part of Active Transportation Month in April, the Sustainability, Parking & Transportation, and Operations & Facilities Management offices are hosting commuter fairs and a commuter challenge to encourage low-carbon means of transportation. 

The Women’s Society of Washington University is hosting the annual Adele Starbird Lecture featuring Penny Pennington, managing partner at Edward Jones, at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, in Knight Hall’s Emerson Auditorium. The event will also be livestreamed.

Washington University faculty, staff and students are encouraged to explore and use WashUReuse. The platform promotes peer-to-peer sharing of unwanted items such as equipment, supplies and furniture, reducing costs and keeping items out of landfills. 

Parking and Transportation Services is preparing for campus events this spring, such as the Thurtene carnival and Active Transportation Month in April, and wants the community to be aware of potential parking impacts.

The U.S. and university flags over Brookings Hall are lowered to half-staff until sunset Friday, March 31, as a mark of respect for those killed in the shooting March 27 in Nashville, Tenn.

Washington University Emergency Management plans to test its emergency communication system at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 4. The test ensures that the university can effectively communicate with its community in an emergency.
