University College will host a Preview Night at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, in Holmes
Lounge in Ridgley Hall. Preview Night provides information on class and program offerings, WUSTL employees’
tuition benefits, admissions requirements and financial aid. Fall
semester classes at University College start Aug. 28.
University Archives debuts blog on Washington University, St. Louis history
Staff members from WUSTL’s University Archives have started a blog, Bears Repeating: History and Happenings from Washington University Archives. The blog will focus on a range of subjects from WUSTL and St. Louis history to updates on archives-related events and projects.

Olin Library hosts Twitter classes in July
Twitter may appear to be one of many online attention drains, but tweeting often proves surprisingly practical. Washington University Libraries staff members are offering two free workshops in July aimed to help interested members of the WUSTL community explore how and why this social media tool can be useful.

Free and open to all employees, the event is at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 12, in the Danforth University Center, Room 276.
WUSTL School of Law, Cambridge organize first International Privacy Law Conference June 26 and 27
Leading privacy law experts from around the world will gather in Cambridge, England, on June 26 and 27 for the first International Privacy Law conference, a joint effort between Washington University in St. Louis School of law and the University of Cambridge. “Every modern society is confronting novel issues of privacy, and our conference brings together some of the smartest thinkers about privacy in the world to compare notes and come up with new solutions,” says Neil M. Richards, JD, conference co-chair and professor of law at Washington University. Conference topics will include intellectual privacy, the conflict between privacy and free speech, the psychology of privacy, public access to court records, and privacy reform in Australia.
New Campus Card Services office opening June 19 in Green Hall
The new WUSTL Campus Card Services office is opening Tuesday, June 19, in Green Hall, Suite 1158. Beginning this summer, Campus Card Services will produce all new and replacement university IDs for Danforth Campus students, faculty, staff, contractors and vendors.
Arts as Healing to hold exhibit June 29
The Siteman Cancer Center’s Arts as Healing Program will hold a gallery exhibit June 29 featuring original art created by cancer survivors. The Kaleidoscope of Hope event will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Des Lee Gallery, 1627 Washington Ave., First Floor, St. Louis, MO, 63103.
