‘Senior Send-Off’ Dining Services event open to all

On Friday, May 10, from 2-4 p.m. at the Edison Family Courtyard outside the DUC, WUSTL Dining Services is offering graduating seniors the opportunity to take one more delicious trip down memory lane with an event highlighting the food and favorite Dining Services staff members from their four years at Washington University. Faculty, staff and guests are invited to join the festivities. 

Lavender Recognition Ceremony May 15

The third annual Lavender Recognition Ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, in College Hall in the South 40 House. Co-hosted by LGBT Student Involvement and Leadership and the Social Justice Center, the ceremony honors the achievements and contributions of graduating lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer students and their allies. Financial capability lecture at Brown Hall Monday, May 13

Sherry Salway Black, director of the Partnership for Tribal Governance, National Congress of American Indians, will be on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis at 12:15 p.m. Monday, May 13, in Brown Hall’s Brown Lounge (Room 218). Her talk “Securing Our Futures: Building Financial Capability for Life” is sponsored by the Brown School’s Center for Social Development and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. The lecture is free but registration is required. Lunch will be provided.

Four student projects win Gephardt Institute Social Change Grants

The Community Service Office of the Gephardt Institute for Public Service recently announced the awarding of four social change grants for student projects pursuing innovative ideas and serving the common good in the spirit of social entrepreneurship.

Annual food drive feeds more than 3,000 for a day

The third annual PB&Joy food drive at Washington University in St. Louis yielded 8,372 pounds of food, compared to 4,686 pounds last year. The campaign also raised more than $3,800 in monetary contributions. This year’s total impact is enough to feed 3,042 people for a day.
