Legendary news producer Lynne “Angel” Cooper Harvey, wife of broadcaster Paul Harvey, died Saturday, May 3, at the couple’s home in River Forest, Ill., following a long battle with leukemia. She was 92. Born and raised in St. Louis, Angel — as she was universally known — earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in English from Washington University and worked at local radio station KXOK-AM, where she met Paul, her husband of 68 years.

The center for Women’s Infectious Disease Research (cWIDR) will focus on issues such as microorganisms that cause urinary tract infections (UTIs), infections that lead to premature delivery, and potential contributing roles for microorganisms in life-threatening conditions such as cancer.
