‘Where to Go’ campaign launches
Washington University in St. Louis launches its “Where to Go” campaign this fall to help the campus prepare for emergency situations. During the fall semester, members of the University’s Crisis Management Team will give presentations at student, staff and faculty meetings explaining where to go for information before, during and after an emergency.
Summer Metro pass renewal begins
Eligible employees may now register for a summer 2007 U-Pass; eligible students may register beginning April 30.

Uno, winner of Best in Show at the 2008 Westminster Kennel Club dog show, will visit the Danforth University Center Aug. 25 as part of a year-long celebration of the building’s opening.
More than 1,000 new students help ready St. Louis schools for new year
With each new school year comes a fresh start for each child. For the past decade, Washington University students have helped St. Louis-area children get that new start in clean, colorful hallways and classrooms through Service First. The annual community service event will be held Aug. 30.
More than 1,400 WUSTL freshmen to move in Aug. 21
More than 1,400 Washington University freshmen will move into the South 40 residence halls on Thursday, Aug. 21. With help from family, friends and upperclassmen, the students will be hauling everything from refrigerators and microwaves to carpets, bicycles and stereo systems into their new homes away from home.
Hillel names new director
Michael Landy has been named executive director of the St. Louis Hillel at Washington University, announced Miriam Singer, president of the St. Louis Hillel’s board of directors.
