Olin Cup and YouthBridgeSEIC 2010 competitions for student and community entrepreneurs are accepting applications.

Marfan clinic is largest in Midwest

Marfan syndrome is almost as common as cystic fibrosis or muscular dystrophy, but doctors sometimes miss its signature traits that include unusual height, long, spindly arms, legs and fingers, a sunken chest and loose jointedness. To improve diagnosis, physicians at the School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital have established the Marfan Clinic, which has quickly become the largest multidisciplinary in the Midwest for Marfans and related syndromes.

New hire, promotions in Campus Life

A new hire and two promotions have taken place in Campus Life. Mike Hayes has been hired as executive director of Campus Life and director of Greek Life. Leslie Heusted has been promoted to director of the Danforth University Center. Working closely with Hayes, Julia Macias Garcia has been promoted to assistant director of Campus Life and assistant dean in the College of Arts & Sciences.
