Recognizing December graduates​

You Bin Lim celebrates after participating in Washington University’s December Degree Candidate Recognition Ceremony in Graham Chapel Saturday, Dec. 1. Lim, a psychology major with a minor in French, is a candidate for a bachelor of arts degree in the College of Arts & Sciences. She was among some 800  students who filed as December degree candidates.

OSCC team registration deadline Dec. 7

The team registration deadline for the Olin Sustainability Case Competition is Friday, Dec. 7. Open to all WUSTL students, this year’s competition, “Blight, Flight, and Urban Plight,” hopes to stimulate sustainable development of vacant land in the City of St. Louis.

Police department offers free vehicle inspections

On Saturday, Dec. 8, from noon to 2:30 p.m., the Washington University Police Department and Parking Services, in partnership with Hartmann’s Towing, will once again sponsor a free traveler’s vehicle inspection service to students, faculty and staff.

Annual ‘Report to Neighbors’ held Nov. 26

The annual “Report to the Neighbors” meeting was held Nov. 26 in Whitaker Hall. The event is held to help keep those living in neighborhoods surrounding WUSTL informed on university happenings and also to give neighbors a forum to voice comments and concerns to a panel of university administrators. Celebrate the holidays at Ibby’s

Employees who book holiday gatherings through Dec. 14 at Ibby’s bistro in Danforth University Center are eligible to receive special offers, such as free desserts and appetizers for the group and $25 gift cards for the reservee. All reservations must be made in advance.

Bear Necessities holds annual holiday sale

Bear Necessities is offering special discounts and expanded hours during its annual holiday sale. The store will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 11 and 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 12.
