Celebration of championsThe 2009 NCAA Division III national champion volleyball team will be honored with a Celebration of Champions at 3 p.m. Feb. 7 in the WU Field House. The ceremony will begin promptly following the conclusion of the men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader against Emory University.
Washington University chancellor, heads of Peabody Energy, Arch Coal and Ameren join global partnership to improve environment
A news conference to announce a clean coal initiative with a goal of making St. Louis the nation’s center for clean coal research will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at Whitaker Hall on the Washington University Danforth Campus. Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton, along with heads of Peabody Energy, Arch Coal and Ameren, will make the announcement.

This team of researchers restored the Laboratory Instrument Computer (LINC) — recognized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Computer Society as the world’s first interactive personal computer — for display at the 10th Vintage Computer Festival Nov. 3-4 in Mountain View, Calif.
