West Campus shuttle details announced

Washington University will begin implementing its new parking and transportation strategy July 1 to help ensure campus parking resources are aligned with current and future needs. A new West Campus shuttle begins operations today. Employees are encouraged to try the shuttle and other commuting alternatives during April.

Laylah Ali receives Sam Fox School Dean’s Medal

Celebrated painter Laylah Ali (MFA ’94) will receive the Dean’s Medal for outstanding contributions to the field of art from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis. In all, seven outstanding alumni will be recognized during the school’s annual Awards for Distinction dinner April 6 for demonstrating creativity, innovation, leadership and vision in their respective fields.

Media Advisory: St. Louis Walk of Fame to induct Nobel laureate Rita Levi-Montalcini April 6

The St. Louis Walk of Fame will posthumously induct Nobel Prize-winning neurobiologist Rita Levi-Montalcini at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 6, on the Delmar Loop. Levi-Montalcini conducted much of her research at Washington University in St. Louis and is recognized for breakthroughs in the study of cell growth and development. She died at the age of 103 in her native Italy.
