A newly drafted partnership, signed last month in New York by Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton and officials with the China Scholarship Council, will bring up to 15 new PhD students per year from China to study at Washington University in St. Louis.

She is the second student-athlete from Washington University to win the award, joining 2012 winner Elizabeth Phillips. She is also the fifth NCAA Division III student-athlete to claim the honor.

CNN journalist Anderson Cooper will be the keynote speaker at Washington University in St. Louis’ 2017 Founders Day, to be held Oct. 28 at the St. Louis Union Station Hotel.

“Icarus,” a 2017 documentary film exploring doping in sports, will be screened from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, in the Bryan Cave Moot Courtroom in Anheuser-Busch Hall. A panel discussion will follow.

Jeffrey Fletcher Moley, MD, a highly regarded professor of surgery and chief of the Section of Endocrine and Oncologic Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, at his home in Kirkwood. He was 64.
