E-scooters banned from campus pathways, sidewalks
In an effort to support the safety of the Washington University in St. Louis community, electric scooters, motorized skateboards and hoverboards will no longer be permitted on Danforth Campus sidewalks and pathways. Also, university employees are prohibited from using scooters or other motorized transportation devices during work hours while conducting university business.

‘A harmonious part of a greater whole’
The Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts will dedicate its new William A. Bernoudy Architecture Studio, thanks to a $1.5 million gift from the Gertrude & William A. Bernoudy Foundation. Located within Anabeth and John Weil Hall, the 6,580-square-foot space will provide state-of-the-art facilities for the school’s nationally ranked Graduate School of Architecture & Urban Design.
Parking and Transportation announces winning shuttle design
The Parking and Transportation Services team at Washington University in St. Louis has unveiled the winning designs for campus shuttles. They will debut in the fall when classes resume. Parking officials also remind the campus community that it’s time to buy parking permits and renew U-Passes.

Solar expansion continues at Washington University
Washington University in St. Louis has launched a new $3.5 million solar project. When complete, it will generate 2.5 megawatts of energy across the university, enough to take 480 cars off the road.
Sam Fox School to debut new facilities this fall
This fall, one of the top programs for art, architecture and design at a U.S. university — the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis — will unveil two major new capital projects that will transform the campus, reshape the visitor experience and firmly establish the prominence of its art museum on campus.
The newly constructed Anabeth and John Weil Hall will house state-of-the-art graduate studios, classrooms and digital fabrication spaces. A major expansion and renovation of the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum will strengthen visibility, better showcase the renowned permanent collection and accommodate larger and more varied special exhibitions.
