McKinley Avenue to close July 21-Sept. 23

From July 21 through Sept. 23, McKinley Avenue between Taylor Avenue and the Olin Circle will be closed to pedestrians, vehicles and shuttle bus traffic. The closure will allow for installation of an underground tunnel to connect the School of Medicine’s Environmental Health and Safety building, currently under construction, with the Scott McKinley Research Building, also under construction.

New Shell and Farrell cafes open July 1

The Shell Café in the McDonnell Sciences Building and the Farrell Café in the Farrell Learning and Teaching Center on the School of Medicine campus will be closed June 27 and 30. The cafes will reopen July 1 under new management.

New I-64/Highway 40 interchanges delayed​

New Interstate 64/Highway 40 interchanges that include an exit at Tower Grove Avenue to access the Washington University Medical Center and a new ramp from Boyle Avenue onto westbound I-64/40 have been delayed until mid-July.

Parkview Place at Kingshighway closing July 7

Parkview Place will close July 7 for up to 24 months due to construction of the new north campus tower on the old Jewish Hospital site. Patients receiving care in the Center for Advanced Medicine will not be able to use Parkview to access the CAM and the North Garage.

Facilities services consolidated in Olin Hall

Several offices in facilities management at the School of Medicine are consolidating services and business operations beginning May 5. They will be located on the first floor of Olin Residence Hall. Custodial services, facilities engineering and parking and transportation will merge in the newly named Facilities Integrated Service Center (FISC).
