Sam Fox Arts Center receives $1 million challenge grant from The Kresge Foundation

Museum Building, Sam Fox Arts Center at WUSTL.The Kresge Foundation has awarded a $1 million challenge grant to the Sam Fox Arts Center at Washington University in St. Louis. To receive the grant, which supports construction of two new buildings as well as renovations of existing facilities, the university must raise an additional $4.4 million in outright gifts and pledges.

Musicologist Roberta Freund Schwartz to speak Feb. 27

Roberta Freund Schwartz, assistant professor of historical musicology at the University of Kansas, will present a lecture titled “An Investigation into the Late Renaissance episteme Embodied in the Musical Writings of Joachim Burmeister and the Motets of Orlando di Lasso” at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27.
