The WashU Danforth Staff Council has added 11 new members and elected its executive officers for the academic year.

The WashU Board of Trustees has elected four new trustees to four-year terms, which took effect July 1. The board also selected four new student representatives for the 2024-25 academic year. 

Gary Liu, a graduate student at the WashU School of Law, received a prestigious Roberts Fellowship from the Eisenhower Institute, which includes a $10,000 award to support research and educational costs.

Vincent Vanyo, a PhD student in plant and microbial biosciences in the Roy and Diana Vagelos Division of Biology & Biomedical Sciences at WashU, was selected to attend the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory (EMSL)’s 2024 summer training on fungal protein research.

Twelve recent alumni of Washington University in St. Louis earned Fulbright awards to travel abroad to teach English or to conduct research in the 2024-25 academic year.

Focus St. Louis selected some members of the WashU community to participate in its 2024-25 civic leadership programs.

The Washington University Board of Trustees appointed numerous faculty with tenure, promoted faculty with tenure, and granted tenure at its meeting May 3. Their tenure takes effect July 1 unless otherwise indicated.
