Charles A. Goldfarb, MD, is a hand specialist who treats a range of patients, from children with birth differences to injured athletes. He is director of the Division of Pediatric and Adolescent Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.  

Take part in used shoe drive

The university is again taking part in a used shoe drive. Donations to Shoeman Water Projects help raise funds to provide clean water in developing countries. The drive runs until May, and there are several drop-off locations around the Danforth Campus.

Town hall meetings planned on parking, pricing

The university is hosting several town hall meetings in the coming week, beginning Thursday, April 6, so people can learn more about the new parking strategy, including permit pricing and lottery details.

Student Parent Awareness Week planned

Student Parent Awareness Week, a week full of activities on campus for graduate students and their children, is planned April 10-14, beginning with “Bring Your Child to Campus Day” Monday.

Relay for Life event this weekend

This year’s Relay for Life event will take place starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Francis Field. The 12-hour event raises funds for the American Cancer Society and its work toward cancer prevention and treatment.

West Campus shuttle details announced

Washington University will begin implementing its new parking and transportation strategy July 1 to help ensure campus parking resources are aligned with current and future needs. A new West Campus shuttle begins operations today. Employees are encouraged to try the shuttle and other commuting alternatives during April.
