Several members of the Arts & Sciences community at Washington University in St. Louis participated in the annual American Literary Translators Association (ALTA) conference, held in October in Minneapolis.

The Washington University Police Department is pursuing accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc. Arthur Z. Eisen, MD, a physician-scientist who founded and then led the Division of Dermatology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, in St. Louis after a short illness. He was 88.

Jennie H. Kwon, DO, an assistant professor of medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, has been named the New Physician in Practice member of the American Osteopathic Association’s board of trustees.

Local Farmer CSA, in partnership with the Office of Sustainability and the Department of Human Resources, now offers CSA (Community Shared Agriculture) crop boxes on the Danforth Campus. Students, faculty and staff can sign up to take part, then pick up a box of fresh produce and other products every other Wednesday.

Christopher Stark, assistant professor of music in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, has been selected as a 2018 artist-in-residence at USF Bergen. The honor comes amid a year of accomplishments for the composer.

Washington University Orthopedics has opened a new clinic at Progress West Hospital in O’Fallon, Mo. Physicians at the new location will offer diagnosis and treatment for general orthopedics, with a focus on pediatric patients.
