The annual health open enrollment period for the health/dental or dental-only plans, the health- and child-care flex spending plans, the Health Savings Account and the Retirement Medical Savings Account will be from Nov. 1-30.
Emergency notification system to be tested Oct. 21
Washington University in St. Louis will test its emergency notification system, WUSTLAlerts, at approximately 12:50 p.m. Oct. 21. The test will take place unless there is the potential for severe weather that day or some other emergency is occurring at that time.
Applications sought for Bear Cub Fund grants
The Bear Cub Fund is soliciting grant applications from WUSTL researchers who want to move inventions from their laboratories toward commercialization.

United Way campaign still accepting donations
WUSTL continues to accept donations to the annual United Way of Greater St. Louis campaign, which began Sept. 2. The University’s goal for this year’s drive is $600,000, and those who have not yet donated are encouraged to do so as soon as possible.
Frank Marshall Davis Collection added to Film & Media Archive
Washington University Libraries’ Film & Media Archive has partnered with the University of Hawaii-West Oahu to preserve and digitize an interview with African-American poet and journalist Frank Marshall Davis.

WUSTL is first university to join Red Cross Ready Rating Program
Washington University is the first university and 150th member of the American Red Cross’ Ready Rating Program. The program, which originated in St. Louis, provides free assistance to businesses, schools and organizations in emergency planning.
