Senior Stephanie Wong has been awarded this year’s Rabbi Ferdinand M. Isserman Prize. The Isserman prize recognizes a WUSTL student who has made a significant contribution in leadership and service to ecumenical or interfaith activities, both on campus and in the wider community.

Ann Bingham has been named director of the WUSTL Family Learning Center, an on-campus 19,900-square-foot child-care center scheduled to open Sept. 7. The Family Learning Center is being built on the North Campus and will offer care for 156 children of faculty, staff and students from the ages of 6 weeks to 6 years.

As an undergraduate pre-med student, Danielle Bristow worked as a tour guide for the University of the Pacific, welcoming prospective students and their families to her campus. The idea that Bristow would one day find a career in making people feel welcome didn’t occur to her. Not at first, anyway.  

Of note Jonathan M. Chase, PhD, associate professor of biology in Arts & Sciences and director of the Tyson Research Center, and Tiffany M. There’s not much Jerome Levy, MD, 75, who graduates May 21 with a Master of Liberal Arts degree in Arts & Sciences, isn’t interested in knowing — and doing. That’s why Levy, emeritus professor of surgery, has been chosen by the Record as an Outstanding Graduate in University College.
