Jarrell named assistant vice chancellor for human resources
Margo Jarrell has been named assistant vice chancellor for human resources, benefits and compensation at WUSTL, effective July 2, 2011, announced Ann B. Prenatt, vice chancellor for human resources. Jarrell arrived on campus April 4 and will replace Thomas W. Lauman, who will retire July 1.

WUSTL Dining Services introduces reusable to-go box
WUSTL Dining Services has introduced a reusable to-go box, which can be used at any WUSTL Dining Services location on the Danforth Campus. The box, which is available for $3, allows faculty, staff and students to take their meal to-go without using a cardboard to-go box. Diners who use the box receive a 25-cent discount on each meal purchased with the box.
Green Cup contest reduces energy use on campus
Students living in residence halls on the South 40 and fraternities are turning off lights, unplugging microwaves and printing fewer pages to win the WUSTL Green Cup. The Green Cup contest, which lasts four weeks and ends April 22, recognizes both the residential college and fraternity that reduces its energy use by the highest percentage.
University College to host ‘Journalism in the Digital Age’ April 7
University College, the continuing education and professional studies division in Arts & Sciences at WUSTL, will host a panel discussion titled “Journalism in the Digital Age: Anything Goes?” at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 7, in the Danforth University Center, Room 234. The panel discussion is free and open to the public.
Campus store under construction
Renovations to the WUSTL Campus Store, located in the Mallinckrodt Center on the Danforth Campus, continues. Renovations began in December to expand the store, add a new entrance, update interior space and create a more open floor plan. The expansion will provide more space for academic general books, academic course material, clothing, gifts, convenience items and social events.

Prenatt leads WUSTL’s United Way success
With $715,540 raised for the United Way by WUSTL in 2010, the university has exceeded its United Way fundraising goal for five consecutive years. In February, Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton formally thanked Ann Prenatt, vice chancellor for human resources, for her excellent work leading WUSTL’s annual United Way campaign, presenting her with a certificate of recognition.
