Clarivate, an analytics company, named 47 researchers from WashU to the Highly Cited Researchers 2024 list. These scholars represent a variety of disciplines, including ecology, immunology, neuroscience and social science.
The Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research has announced that Alex Evers, MD, at WashU Medicine, will receive the foundation’s 2024 Mentoring Excellence in Research Award.

Sam Fox, business leader and philanthropist, 95
Sam Fox, a business and civic leader who was also among St. Louis’ most prominent philanthropists and WashU’s most loyal and generous alumni, died Dec. 2. The Fox family will hold shiva for Sam Fox from 5-9:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, in Weil Hall.
