The broad theme of Professor Jian Wang’s research is to understand key processes that drive the properties, distribution, and evolution of aerosols, and to elucidate and quantify the effects of atmospheric aerosols on radiation, clouds, climate, and air quality. The approach consists of developing cutting-edge instruments and deploying of these instruments in field observations focusing on regions where aerosols have major impacts on climate system and air quality.
