LaTanya Buck, director of the Center for Diversity & Inclusion at Washington University in St. Louis, has been named a 2016 Young Leader awardee by the St. Louis American Foundation.
The annual award celebrates 20 individuals under age 40, who are excelling in their career while playing a vital role in their community.
Since her arrival in 2014, Buck has been a strong advocate for students from traditionally underrepresented populations and has worked to foster a supportive campus climate for students of all backgrounds, cultures and identities.
Buck and other awardees will be honored at a ceremony Feb. 25 at the Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis.
