A successful entrepreneur who has led thriving public health focused businesses, Steensma joined the Brown School as a visiting professor in the fall of 2013 and received an appointment to the position of Professor of Practice, Public Health and Social Entrepreneurship, in fall of 2014. Previously he served as a professor at the Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership and in the graduate program in Environmental Science at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Ind., where he has also served as the Director of Entrepreneurship Programs.
