Katherine Weilbaecher, MD, a Washington University professor of medicine, has been elected to the Association of American Physicians, a leading medical group of more than 1,300 active members.
Her research focuses on the molecular ability of tumors to reprogram the bone microenvironment to aid metastases. She has developed several resulting clinical trials aimed at preventing and treating bone metastases in breast cancer patients.
