
Alumni and friends gathered for the Founders Day dinner Nov. 3, 2012, at the St. Louis Union Station Hotel. This annual event commemorates the founding of Washington University in 1853. The dinner’s guest speaker was Robert Gates, former U.S. secretary of defense. During the evening, the Alumni Association honored distinguished alumni, faculty and friends for their achievements.
