Yoram Rudy, Ph.D., the Fred Saigh Distinguished Professor and director of the Cardiac Bioelectricity and Arrhythmia Center, is the recipient of the 2010 Heart Rhythm Society Distinguished Scientist Award, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the field and to the society. The award ceremony will take place in May during the Annual Heart Rhythm Society scientific sessions in Denver. …

Gregorio Sicard, M.D., the Eugene M. Bricker Professor of Surgery and professor of radiology, executive vice chairman of the Department of Surgery and chief of the vascular surgery section, will receive the 2010 Hero with a Heart Award from the National Marfan Foundation March 6.

Igor Marjanovic, assistant professor of architecture, participated in a panel discussion about Mass Production in Art and Architecture at the 2009 Conference of the Society for Utopian Studies in North Carolina in November 2009. He presented a chapter from his book on Bertrand Goldberg’s Marina City (co-authored with Katerina Ruedi Ray, Ph.D., and forthcoming from Princeton Architectural Press).
