Jeannie Kelly, MD, an expert in the care of pregnant women with opiate use disorders, has been named director of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine & Ultrasound in WashU Medicine’s Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
A team of WashU researchers is developing an at-home wearable device that would monitor electrical and mechanical signals in the uterus during pregnancy and labor, with a four-year $920,769 grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Registration is now open for the next WashU well-being initiative, Walktober, a six-week opportunity focused on fitness and wellness. The challenge begins Oct. 6.
